Free Family-friendly Fun and Movie Night on Deere-Wiman Lawn July 10

The Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House is celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by rolling out fun, patriotic themed FREE family-friendly activities for the QC community.

Activities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 10th on the Deere-Wiman lawn with a double-feature outdoor movie night. Crafts, games, and giveaways will take place in the Carriage House.

Fifty families will receive a “very special book” worthy to be a birthday gift for Aunt Lucy! Taste- testing of orange marmalade sandwiches is optional.

Come with a picnic dinner or purchase a meal on the property. Additional books will be given away throughout the evening as a gift to the community from the William Butterworth Foundation. The antics of a beloved bear start at 5:30 pm on the large LED screen.

Then at 8pm, suit-up in Revolutionary-era costume, and become a cast member of the night’s playbill by singing along with others, awards for the best costume of the night.

The Deere-Wiman House and lawn are located at 11th Avenue and 10th Street in Moline, Illinois. Visit https://www.butterworthcenter.com/ for more information.
