Bettendorf Library's "Thursday Theater" offers free family-friendly movies June-July

Bettendorf Public Library's new Thursday Theater afternoons feature FREE family-friendly movies on the big screen in the BETTENDORF ROOM with free popcorn.

The movies begin at 2 p.m. and end by 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 11th, the movie is "Elio"

Thursday, June 18th, the movie is "Zootopia 2"

Thursday, June 25, the movie is "Lilo and Stitch" (2025)

Thursday, July 2, the movie is "Smurfs"

Thursday, July 9, the movie is "The Bad Guys 2"

Thursday, July 16, the movie is "The Spongebob Movie: Search for Squarepants"

Thursday, July 23, the movie is "Hoppers"

Thursday, July 29, the movie is "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie"

Documentary "From Iowa & Back" screens at DeWitt Opera House June 14

The award-winning documentary From Iowa & Back: The Vietnam Era will show at the DeWitt Opera House   716 6th Ave, DeWitt, IA   on June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM.   This is a free to the public screening sponsored by American Legion Post 238 and Michelle and Steven Martens. This is the 4th showing in Iowa-by-Iowa filmmaker Jeremy Glazier. From Iowa and Back: The Vietnam Era  explores the untold stories of Iowans who served during the Vietnam era. This deeply personal documentary focuses on the lives of those veterans, from their small-town roots to the challenges of war and life after.
